Integrity Toys 1st on-line presentation 2013 - Tulabelle

The second line of dolls presented on Saturday by Integrity toys was a new one: 16" dolls with the Poppy Parker Fashion Teen 16" body and more detailed face. Her looks are modern and edgy. She's supposed to be Poppy's grand-daughter, a teen fashion blogger. Vaughn Sawyers introduced the dolls while David Buttry gave us the background history of the character.

Violet Femme
Brunette Basic Tulabelle™ Doll
Suggested Retail Price: US $115.00
Limited Edition of 300 Dolls

This one looks almost manga to me. She is the second basic doll of the lot. Outfit consists of purple one shouldered jersey tee with black glam rock skull print, black denim shorts, black high-top platforms and white knee socks with purple stripes. Doll stand and certificate of authenticity are included.

Item #86003
Yeti to Wear
Tulabelle™ Dressed Doll
Suggested Retail Price: US $150.00
Limited Edition of 300 Dolls
16 inch Doll
Estimated Delivery Date: June 2013

This is the best of the bunch. I would have pre-ordered her if not for budget control (huh). She looks better then the rest, edgy and sophisticated (save that fur blob on her). Again the manga vibe is strong here. Outfit consists of purple and grey faux fur coat, cream lace blouse, black skinny jeans, and over the knee dark eggplant boots with black bow detail. Accessories include an embroidered clutch, black beaded necklace, chain pendant, drop earrings and a large ring. Doll stand and certificate of authenticity included. She is sold out.

Pomp and Circumstance
Tulabelle™ Dressed Doll
Suggested Retail Price: US $150.00
Limited Edition of 300 Dolls
16 inch Doll
Estimated Delivery Date: Early May 2013

This one was on DOLLS magazine earlier this month so most people got a taste of the line through her photos. The most eccentric of the bunch. Outfit consists of a faux leopard coat, white pleated sleeveless blouse with a black trim collar, red skinny jeans, red metallic heels, hot pink patent tote, multi-strand necklace, black drop earrings and a matching ring.Doll stand and COA included.

Item #86005
Coated in Glamour
Tulabelle™ Dressed Doll
Suggested Retail Price: US $150.00
Limited Edition of 300 Dolls
16 inch Doll
Estimated Delivery Date: June 2013

This one is the second best doll in this collection. I think she's the modern equivalent of Poppy Parker The Happening. Her outfit consists of a gold and blue dress with net overlay, a light blue biker jacket, nude fishnets, and black fur and leather boots. Accessories include a green metallic clutch, silver chain earrings, and a silver and black cuff, bangle and ring. Doll stand and certificate of authenticity are included.

Item #86006
Trend Spotted
Tulabelle™ Dressed Doll
Suggested Retail Price: US $150.00
Limited Edition of 300 Dolls
16 inch Doll
Estimated Delivery Date: June 2013

This is the odd one out of the bunch. Her rockabilly-through-80's-for-the-10's look is way out there. She is wearing a lavender sweater with a white collar, acid yellow dotted skirt, black leather jacket, lime fishnets, multicoloured platform boots, and a turquoise bag. Accessories include a turquoise and black brooch, lime and silver bangle and large silver hoop earrings. Doll stand and certificate of authenticity are included.

The success of this collection for me is the fact that even though I was prepared not to want anything from it, I really fell for Yeti to Wear. The failure of the collection is that none of the rest matches that doll in style and pizazz  If they continue this towards that direction, I am sure this will be a big hit.

Integrity Toys 1st on-line presentation 2013 - Dynamite Girls

The Dynamite Girls collection was the first one presented in the on-line event. This time the inspiration is a trip to London, so the collection is named "London Calling. This brings to mind last year's Poppy Parker trip to London, but this one has a thoroughly modern vibe - with some 80's undertones. David Buttry proudly presented each doll and discussed them with Carol Roth. He said the fashions are street-inspired and wintry.

Item #66084
Holland™
The Dynamite Girls™
London Calling Collection
Suggestion Retail Price: US $65.00
Limited Edition of 800 Dolls
Estimated Delivery Date: Late March 2013

The girls and guys presented are totally different from last year. First of all there is a new character (ergo new sculpt), Holland.  The doll is wearing a grey and green wool and faux leather jacket, an orange and pink jacquard jumper dress, orange turtle-neck  pink tights and boots with faux fur trim. She's not my style (Dynamite Girls rarely, if ever, are) but her face looks interesting.

Item #66085
Cruz™
The Dynamite Girls™
London Calling Collection
Suggestion Retail Price: US $65.00
Limited Edition of 800 Dolls
Estimated Delivery Date: Late March 2013

Guys are always a hit with the crowd, even someone like me who does not collect this line. This time it is Cruz that takes the spotlight in a lime shirt with navy collar and cuffs, orange striped sweater vest, and royal blue suit jacket and trousers. His accessories include a gray knit scarf and gray and blue spectator shoes. I really wanted this one but had to leave him out due to the amount of dolls I got from another line. Plus even though I like the overall impression, the "suit"look in this colour is not to my liking. I;d much rather have a totally different jacket (plaid?) or parka on top. The shoes are to die for. I think he is sold out.

Item #66086
Dani™
The Dynamite Girls™
London Calling Collection
Suggestion Retail Price: US $65.00
Limited Edition of 800 Dolls
Estimated Delivery Date: Late March 2013

Dani is back in a black shirt, white lace sweater, hot pink jacket and green jacquard Capri pants. Her look is completed with black patent booties. She is the prettiest face of the bunch and I love her contrasting colours.

Item #66087
Kyu™
The Dynamite Girls™
London Calling Collection
Suggestion Retail Price: US $65.00
Limited Edition of 800 Dolls
Estimated Delivery Date: Late March 2013

The second guy of the bunch is Kyu. His ensemble consists of a long sleeved red shirt, gold knit sweater, and blue jeans with patch details on the knees. To top it off he's wearing a parka in green with faux fur trim on the hood. I love everything about him but his patched jeans. You can find his sweater in H&M in a brighter yellow.

Item #66088
TJ™
The Dynamite Girls™
London Calling Collection
Suggestion Retail Price: US $65.00
Limited Edition of 600 Dolls
Estimated Delivery Date: Late March 2013

TJ reminds me of Neve - are they the same sculpt? She wears a winter white jacket with black faux fur trimmed hood, lime shirt, pink V-neck sweater, blue jacquard skirt, pink lace tights, and black boots.

Item #66089
Dayle™
The Dynamite Girls™
London Calling Collection
Suggestion Retail Price: US $65.00
Limited Edition of 600 Dolls
Estimated Delivery Date: Late March 2013

Last but not least is Dayle.  She wears a pink blouse, lime tights, off white sweatshirt, grey and brown jacquard shorts, blue-grey coat, and knee high brown boots with faux fur trim. Must say that this collections is very versatile and a good value for money, considering the amount of clothes one gets with each doll and their possibility for mix and match.

Integrity Toys 1st on-line presentation 2013 - Jem & The Holograms

Last Saturday, Integrity Toys hosted their first on-line presentation for the W-Club members. Carol Roth began the seminar with an introduction. Four distinct lines of dolls were presented in it, catering to a wide variety of collectors. One of them was this year's first wave of Jem & The Holograms dolls, the Hasbro collaboration that has proven so popular even for collectors not familiar with Integrity up to now. This time it is the three Hologram ladies that are available, since Jem could not continue to be long without her group.  Dear Alain Trembley made a general presentation of the characters and then designer Vaughn Sawyers took over for each doll with Carol commenting. Let's see them one by one.

Item # 14028
SHANA ELMSFORD™
The JEM AND THE HOLOGRAMS™ Collection
Limited Edition of 1000 Dolls Only
Suggested Retail Price: US $119.00
Estimated Ship Date: Early March 2013

The person responsible for the group's costumes in none other than Shana Elmsford,  a fully articulated 12-inch vinyl doll with rooted hair and hand applied eyelashes. She comes dressed in her stage costume which includes high-heeled pumps, her signature ultra-detailed bass guitar, complete with realistic miniature strings, whammy bar and plug-in amp cable. It also includes a doll stand and a certificate of authenticity.

I think they nailed the girls down pat - from what  Iremember of the cartoon. They are so detailed and very close to the original characters. This should make the collectors very very happy. And of course, here is a photo of the group with their leader Jem (which was released last year):

Please note that dolls are all sold separately and the Classic Jem doll is not available in the Wave 2 collection.

For adult collectors 14 and up only. Please note that the photos are of prototype dolls and subject to changes and modifications. Bus Stop Darla Daley - swinging sixties!

As mentioned before in this blog, the 2012 Poppy Parker collection was mod themed. Darla Daley was no exception. One of the two Darlas released was added to my collection - she has already made a guest appearance in a previous post. Here she is in all her glory.

She is wearing a striped chemisier mini dress with white piping, taken directly from one Twiggy wore in the '60s:

As you can see in the sketch above, it is a down-pat reproduction even to the shoes and accessories. The gloves are substituted by a pair of painted hands which work nicely.

The outfit is completed with a gorgeous orange bag - one of the best in this line.

The white "eyelet" tights and "spectator" strappy shoes are pure perfection.

She has very neutral colouring which suits her skin tone well, adding to the doll's versatility.

Her hair is pulled back in a ponytail which curls at the end. Cute spit curls are framing her face, a very nice touch that compliments her immensely! White hoop earrings finish the look.

In my opinion she is the best Darla released up until now and should be in everyone's collection.

Below she is wearing Poppy's She's Not There Avengers dress while Poppy gets to wear hers - a match made in heaven:
