Integrity Toys Dolly Days 2016 and the 4th W Club doll

The week after Thanksgiving is the one that Integrity Toys do their Dolly Days special this year. Each Day of the week there is a special offer: sales, new dolls, etc. Cyber Monday was the IT Direct sales day: all dolls in the online Integrity shop were on sale. Tuesday saw an offer of nude doll bodies for all types of dolls on offer and in various skin tones. I also noticed that a body sale always happens whenever I am completely broke. Dang.

Wednesday saw the release of the 4th W Club doll as part of the Dolly Days - which, in my book, is slightly cheating. The W Club dolls will be released anyway, so Dolly Days have to be something completely different. But I guess time is running out and the Club dolls have to be presented and pre-ordered. So, without further ado, here is the new Poppy Parker doll.

Poppy Parker is a fully articulated 12.5-inch doll with fully rooted hair and hand applied eyelashes. Poppy wears a sparkling navy blue gown with a long tulle train on the back, matching shoes and delicate jewellery. The look is completed with a miniature champagne set packaged in a miniature golden box. For adult collectors ages 15 and up only. Doll cannot stand alone; doll stand included.

This will be my third Bon Bon collection Poppy and I am very happy. She looks absolutely gorgeous: pale skin, red hair and a navy blue gown. Her accessories are also amazing and she has that champagne set as well, so what is not to love? The inspiration seems to be a 1958 Lanvin tulle couture gown designed by Antonio Castillo (photo from here),

The doll pictured is a prototype. Final colours and textures may vary slightly. Star props not included. All doll photos and information contained herein is copyrighted Integrity Toys, Inc. and Intercap Merchant Partners, LLC 2016 and may not be reprinted or disseminated without express written permission.

LE PARI(S) MERVEILLEUX! - If it's Paris, it's fashion - and dolls too!

For 11 years running, an incredible alchemy takes place, bringing together, around a common goal, the worlds of Fashion, Art and International Cooperation. This meeting between the greatest fashion designers, artists and renowned jewellers gave birth to a major event: the Frimousses Creators.

Lanvin par Alber Elbaz - Lot n°39 Edith la parisienne

For the 11th edition of "Frimousses de Créateurs", artists and designers reveal "Pari(s) Merveilleux" with a pun in using the word Paris, that can be also translated as "The Bet (S) Wonderful!" (Pari=bet, stake). The 2013 UNICEF France event pays tribute to the city of light, the one that hosts art and fashion icons alike, which is Paris of course.

Christian Dior - Lot n°28 Isis

For over 10 years , Paris is the setting of "Frimousses de Créateurs ", another way of contributing to the education and mobilization of the public for children's rights and protection. This major event in Paris enables UNICEF to fund immunization. Each year, designers and artists support a generous bet"": vaccination of the children in Darfur. With their imagination and creativity, each designer offers his version of "Pari(s) Wonderful": magical, incredible, turbulent, surprisingly generous... Among them, Olivia Putman, Eric Bottero, Richard Orlinski, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Jerome Mesnager, Carlos Cruz-Diez and others, have agreed to join this solidarity action.

Chanel par Karl Lagerfeld - Lot n°14 La petite Coco

Globally known fashion Houses like Dior, Chanel, Vuitton, Gucci, Lanvin, but also independent designers like Jean Paul Gaultier, Alexis Mabille, Chantal Thomass, invest their talents to the cause. Artists from all over the world also contribute this year with an original work of art: -M- and Lisa Roze Ali Mahdavi, Lorenz Bäumer, Nicolas Saint Gregoire...

Nicolas Saint Grégoire - Lot N°34 Eugénie

This year's exhibition will be held from November 26 to December 1 at the Petit Palais, a loyal partner of the event. The auction of these works, organized by Artcurial will be held on December 2 at 20:00 at the Four Seasons Hotel George V, a new partner of the event, and will be relayed through internet auctions Figaro.

Jean Paul Gaultier - Lot n°33 Yvette

If you go to the event's website, you can read more about each work of art (not all of them are dolls) and find out about the artist and the inspiration behind it. There is also an iOS app, a Facebook page and a Twitter profile. Warning: it's all in French.

The Miss Lanvin Collection

Last year, Albert Elbaz, the designer of the veritable fashion house of Lanvin, had decorated the Faubourg St. Honore store's windows with mannequins wearing his designs. He then release six porcelain dolls (more like figurines really) with Lanvin fashions taken right out of his sketch book, reminding us of the Theatre De la Mode era, back after the 2nd WW, when French designers dressed miniature mannequins with their designs and travelled them around the world.

This year, Monsieur Elbaz releases the second wave of Lanvin porcelain dolls. It features six looks from the Spring/Summer 2008 collection plus one from the Bridal Capsule collection (the dress that Sarah Jessika Parker wore in the Sex & The City film). They are limited to 800 pieces, made by Chinese craftsman Franz. They look like they're around 10-11 inches tall, maybe smaller. Each one costs 250 Euros (ouch!) and they can be found in Lanvin stores and major department stores in fashion capitals around the world. I wish I had all these fashions for my dolls!
