The Story:

After her friends flew back home, Poppy Parker still had a little unfinished business left to do at the "Poppy Gear" office in London. When her final meetings of the trip wrapped up, she wanted to make sure that she got to stop by "Electric Lollipop", the most psychedelic of all the London boutiques, to pick up a thank you present for her friends that accompanied her on this trip. She found the grooviest paisley print baby doll dress that would look perfect on Darla! Or maybe Ginger? She thought, "Well, maybe I should swing back and revisit some of the boutiques I went to before? There were a bunch of things the girls were eyeing..."

The first thing I thought upon seeing this Poppy as our club doll was that we could have had Mad Mad Mod Poppy in her place and make everyone happier. She even shares the same screening! Not that this doll is not great - far from it. I love almost everything about her. The dresses, the coat, the accessories (two gorgeous bags!), the jewellery! The hairstyle is the only thing that I do not like - more Princess Leia than Swinging London. Why not a Sassoon short style? Or a bob? Or any of these? I think I will be ordering her anyway.

Opening the email, I was certain we were getting one of the two Poppy Parker W Exclusive dolls we get every year but no - it is Erin Salston cosplaying Poppy! The Story:

Erin Salston remained one of the most popular celebrities on social media, known and followed more for her antics and lifestyle than any specific talent. Erin herself had been on a media break after a string of issues—a public “tantrum” during an interview, trashing a 5-star hotel suite after a night of hard partying and even being falsely accused of being part of a high-end “bling ring” jewel heist (from which she was eventually cleared, thanks to her father’s high priced attorneys). Erin was advised, after all of this, to take a little break from the public, of which she begrudgingly obliged. But still, the tales of Erin’s history, false sightings and romance rumors, historical fashion lookbacks and more kept her in the media. It was suggested by the NU. Face agency that perhaps for her coming back into the media’s eye, Erin might benefit from a bit of a makeover to her image. Maybe something sweeter and softer to announce “I’m back” in a way that seemed a bit less…chaotic. At least for now… Nadja, being Erin’s best friend and confidante, decided she would take the lead on the launch of Erin back into the public eye. Nadja had been killing it with corporate sponsorships since her partnership with the Japanese company behind the Big Love Bear bag charms had been such a huge and lucrative success. Erin didn’t care about the money (her family had more than she could ever spend, no matter how hard she tried), but Nadja did. So, Nadja brokered a deal for Erin to be seen in her debut with an exclusive, ultra-limited edition set of sorbet-colored charms. Nadja selected the perfect matching set to go with this luscious color palette, including fashion-forward pedal pushers, with adorable bow ties at the leg. “You are a genius!” Erin told her friend, who decided that a new platinum ‘do would help complete the new, softer look. Nadja then went to another recent corporation, a maker of bubbly drinks and boba tea, to arrange having Erin “papped” coming out of the tea store holding a drink. Nadja secured the perfect bubble skirt for Erin to wear, tying into the bubbly beverage in the most couture way possible. The paparazzi and the internet ate it up. “Sorbet summer” the vibe was named in Erin’s honor, with the sumptuous colors and textures being set as the “IT” look for the season. Nadja was pleased with herself and thought perhaps Erin would be turning over a new leaf with a new outlook. “How’s the boba tea?” Nadja whispered in her friend’s ear as they emerged to a throng of screaming fans asking for selfies and autographs. “Delicious. I spiked it with some vodka…I had a few mini bottles in my purse,” Erin whispered back, taking a long sip on the spiked tea and then turning back to smile and take some selfies with fans. Nadja shook her head…some things never change…

We will not be able to confirm which color charm you will receive in advance, nor do any trades or replacements whether or not you get your preferred color. Even if you purchase multiple dolls, you may get the same color charm. This is completely random and out of Integrity Toys' or the W Club's control.

She’s a beautiful girl, Erin Salston - and she is a popular face for Integrity Toys. But having her cosplay Poppy Parker (the most commercial of IT’s lines) is disingenuous. First of all it alienates fans of both Poppy and Erin. Secondly it sends the wrong message and look outwards: mixing up lines, even without literally saying so, looks desperate and messy. I want my Poppy Parker dolls to look like Poppy Parker dolls and my NU Face dolls to look like NU Face dolls. It might have passed had this been Tulabelle paying homage to her grandmother, but not this. Also naming it as a gift set because it has an added pair of pants and plastic shoes plus two paper bags does not cut it. It needed at least a jacket - for example the one shown on the runway where that skirt comes from: the Chloe Spring Summer 2025 collection (where last year’s 1st club doll, Eden, came from). The studded shoes are from their Fall 2024 collection (where Rayna came from), while the pants are a bit older - Coperni Fall 2022.

I am not getting this doll, despite the new screening looking nice (but with her eyes looking a bit tiny). Some people say she fits the upgrade Nadja but to me they do not match at all. They look like coming from two different time lines. And can we stop with the lafoufous already? They are history by now. Done and dusted. Below is the video of the rotating doll.

The outfit of the collection is a very Versace inspired look, with the straps and golden accents and cut outs reminiscent of the brand’s 90’s bondage collection. This will look gorgeous on any doll and I like that by removing the skirt you get a swimsuit that also comes with a bath robe. I wish they stopped using filters on their photos - it makes them kind of blurry, which is not what one wants when looking for the details of a product for sale. Also, anyone who already has a GMColl body, please let us know about the marks that appear near the elbow joint on both upper arms and lower arms. They look like the breakout spots of 3d printing supports and appear on all dolls shown in the collection. I already placed my order for this.

Azealia is one of the two older sculpts from GMColl that I always wanted to get and now is a good opportunity - she’s breathtaking! Her dress is shorter than the one worn by Lucia, hence the slightly cheaper price. The design with the patch pockets is interesting when with the skirt, but it looks weird as a swimsuit. It seems like all dolls have the same bad in different colours, not a very creative choice. The bathrobe is matching the outfit colour here. Fingers crossed!

Allegra Orsini is the other old sculpt from GMColl that I always wanted to add to my collection, but the prices on the secondary market are too high. I always wanted to get the original Avenue George V Victoire (and cannot remember what happened with the lottery back then) and now I get a chance. GMColl Studio released their first ever made-to-order doll: Celebration Allegra Orsini

GMColl Studio is the project of two very talented and creative people: Gloria and Bertan. Gloria is well know in the fashion doll world with her OOAK briliant work and she teamed up with Bertan to create and run GMColl Studio, a new line of fashion dolls that had already caused quite a commotion as limited run offers of only heads and fashion sets before the label launched. It now has a member club and the members get first dibs at new releases. I was lucky to become a member and now I got the chance to preorder their first made-to-order release (the previous releases so far were lottery dolls for which I did not participate): Celebration Allegra Orsini.

Just as she was about to leave the studio, a quiet commotion turned her attention. Standing there—commanding, unmistakable—was Davinia Orsini. A legend. The head of the Orsini family. The force behind a fashion empire. “I’ve been thinking about starting a modeling agency,” Davinia said, her voice calm yet electric. “I heard you were shooting today… I wanted to see my baby—and the girls—for myself.” Then, with a smile full of certainty: “You were absolutely wonderful, cuore mio. I think it’s time to make this real. You girls are going to become the talk of everyone. It’s time to bring the era of supermodels back to the present.” The sound of cameras snapped Allegra back to now. And in that moment, she understood — The Faces of Today are destined to shape the agency of tomorrow.*

As I mentioned in the first paragraph, I waited a bit to get my first GMColl Studio doll. It is not that the previous members-only releases were not beautiful, it is just that they were not to my taste exactly. So I bid my time and here she is. She’s a new sculpt for Allegra (the original, a gorgeous Donatella lookalike is this one), which does not mean that the old one is retired. I will risk a guess and say that the old one might be used as her mother, as it looks more mature and chiselled than this new iteration. She has a lovely neutral screening, beautiful brunette hair and she looks fab. Her gown follows her screening colour scheme and it looks nice without it being a revelation - I do notice the zipper (good) is a bit large for the scale (bad). Her matching shoes have bows at the back and I love it. Her bag is made of the same material as the dress, so it is a total monochromatic look. And the price is amazing. Cannot wait to receive her!
