The story:

The crowd roared as Adèle Makéda glided across the red carpet, a magnetic presence that left fans, influencers, and paparazzi scrambling for the perfect shot. The big fashion industry event known merely as the “Anniversary Gala” was the event of the year, and with it being the 20th anniversary, invitations were as rare as diamonds—even among the W Cosmetics team and major fashion houses. As Adèle was escorted to the VIP section for an exclusive champagne tasting reserved for the elite, she scanned the other VIPs to find a friendly face—and hopefully avoid some others that she prayed were left off the guest list.

Then, she felt a tap on her shoulder. A chill shot down her spine. She spun around, ready to toast with a champagne glass in hand—only to drop it in shock. The silhouette before her was unmistakable. It could only be... - Designed by Jessy Ayala

What a beautiful Adele to finish the club year! She looks fantastic. Wearing a colour variant of a F/W 2024/25 Schiaparelli Haute Couture gown , she is radiant and elegant. Her screening and hairstyle do bring to mind most recent Adele dolls, but the combination looks quite different as to warrant a yes from me. The gown has been released from JamieShow Dolls as well as an outfit only edition, and in the original colour, but is quite different in the construction style of the bodice. The bow bit is removable - it remains to be seen if it can be also worn as a shawl. She also has a veil, a shopping bag and a shoe box (they have begun to pop up often lately, no?). We get two pairs of shoes and a flat feet set as well, plus those champagne flutes with the removable liquid imitation, She also has the gala invitation (in an envelope no less), a 2002 FR dealer catalogue and a W Cosmetics makeup compact with mirror. Plus of course her nice jewellery suite.

Jessy also provided an additional photo to show a closer view of some of the accessories.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Prototypes shown, the final product may vary. Background and props are not included. This collectible is meant for adult collectors ages 15 and up only. The doll cannot stand alone; a doll stand is included.

We know the 4th W Club doll and it is a blast from the past: Poème d'Amour Vanessa Perrin Gift Set

The 4th W Club Exclusive doll of the 2024 membership year was presented through an email before the end of January, bringing us a bit closer to the end of the club year. "Poème d'Amour" Vanessa Perrin, is a doll by Integrity Toys designer Jessy Ayala: a bridal gift set that evokes the spirit of early Fashion Royalty gift sets (Poesie Sans Couleur Vanessa to be exact).

The story:

During a photo shoot for a special new collab between W Cosmetics and famously glamorous bridal fashion designer Ambra Liange, Vanessa Perrin was the picture of perfection as a blushing bride, showcasing three different stunning looks-- lingerie, a cocktail dress and a bridal gown-- effortlessly. But after a full day's work, when she returned to the dressing room exhausted, as she sat at her vanity to take her make-up off, she noticed an envelope with the name "Vanessa" written on it. Her head was spinning as she opened it to reveal an anonymous Poème d'Amour all about her. But, who this could be from? - Designed by Jessy Ayala

A giftset inspired by Poesie Sans Couleur Vanessa Perring FDQ giftset from 2005. Even the box design, as you can see further below, mimics the style of that set. We get a very different silhouette for the dress than the OG one, this time with a peplum and mermaid tail skirt, that makes this look too 80s couture more than anything contemporary. The lace of the dress looks exquisite and is accented by the light blue grosgrain belt. The finishing of the lace on her peplum and mermaid skirt could have been slightly more raw; as it is, it gives off a hint of grandmother’s doilies, exacerbated by that dreadful metallic rose (which is a direct lift off from the S/S 2024 J.P.Gaultier Haute Couture collection by Simon Rocha. The mermaid tail has a hidden hook and button that can be used to shorten it, by forming a small bustle at the lower part of the dress - you can see in some of the photos how the dress train looks shorter. The veil looks incredible and has a nice finishing with embroidered pearls on its hem, which should also make it stay put when layered over the doll and gown. Love the pearl decorated shoes that come with the gown, one of three pairs included with the set.

The second look is a corset and skirt cocktail dress, with a removable huge bow at the back. This is from the second inspiration of Jessy for this set, the True Royalty Vanessa Perrin set, with her corset and the overall colouring both of the dress (similar to the second outfit in that set) and of the doll (red hair and similar make up). I love this look the most, especially without the bow and my Vanessa will probably be wearing this on display (yes I did pre-order). I love how the bow can be made to look like a light bustle at the back, awesome. And yes, she gets a colour - coordinated bag and heels for it. Plus sunglasses too. The draping of the corset references the Poesie cocktail dress.

The third look is the classic lingerie look, in a light blue colour echoing the wedding gown belt. Both Poesie and True Royalty sets had lingerie included but I could do without it, almost none of my dolls are displayed in lingerie. The set is nicely detailed and has a pair of sling-backs decorated with a rose, and stockings to match, thankfully without garters (it is a pain to put those on on a doll). She even has the flat feet extra pair to walk barefoot wearing the lingerie. Overall it is an amazing set (flaws and all) with a very expensive tag on it, ouch! With that price, it should have had a different shoe box for every pair, not just the one. And remember - if you have Edge Vanessa Perrin (3.0 sculpt), she can wear these to bring it closer to Poesie!

IMPORTANT NOTE: Prototypes shown, the final product may vary. Background and props are not included. This collectible is meant for adult collectors ages 15 and up only. The doll cannot stand alone; a doll stand is included.

The Story:

When Poppy Parker was cast to be the face of Internationally-renowned chocolatier "Crusheys", her first assignment was to film a commercial for their special Valentine's Day box of chocolates. While she was thrilled to have that honor, the romantic theme of the commercial and being so far away from home left her feeling lonely... until she saw that none other than Sergio Silva was cast to be her love interest! She was so happy to gaze upon his familiar (and handsome!) face, that she was hours into filming before noticing that Chip had sent a "good luck" gift box to the set filled with all kinds of jewelry, flowers and a note that simply said "Be Mine! Love XOXO, Chip"... -Designed By David Buttry

A great idea: Poppy Parker as a Valentine’s Day gift set! And in a gorgeous box too! She comes with two outfits and many accessories. The doll has the Misty Hollows screening (and hairstyle) and that orange red lipstick looked more pure red on the presentation video. Her first outfit (the dress) again has Misty Hollow vibes/ It reminds me of old 60s dolls and I cannot say I am thrilled with it. Poppy is a high fashion model for me, so these looks do not thrill me at all. Same goes for the more early 70s second look with the polka dot bodysuit, gilet and shorts, combined with those striped socks. I love the heart shaped glasses and bag and the belt/pouch one but that’s it. I did enter the lottery but it was more for the whole package/novelty kind of thing. Did not win and frankly, it was just fine.

Integrity Toys 2024 convention - Stilettos Out day 3: The Final Gala - convention doll and solving the mystery

Saturday night is always the time when the Final Gala of the convention takes place. Participant were “taken” to Italy, where the convoluted plot of the convention concept was finally resolved. "Regenesis" Dasha d'Amboise as Anika Luxottica, designed by Jessy Ayala, returned as the centerpiece doll and was revealed as the shape-shifting villain, while Elisa Bianchi was the mastermind behind the intricate scheme (Elyse Jolie, as unveiled on Thursday).

The winners of the convention design competitions were also announced:

2024 Diorama Design Competition- Into The Evil Lair:

People's Choice Winner: Mary Caraway

Judges Choice Winner: Beverly Medley

2024 Doll Design Competition- Flamboyant Villains Vs. Sensational Agents:

People's Choice Winner: Donald Whitelocke

Judge's Choice Winner: Fredrik Kvernplassen

The winners of the OOAK raffle dolls designed by IT Collaboration Partners Magia 2000, Sinuhe Guzman and Jason Kramer Designs were also picked, as well as the other raffle winners. With everyone's generous support, the event raised over $10,000 for the Trevor Project - awesome!

No real life convention would be complete without the designer who raised Integrity Toys to the next level: Jason Wu joined the hosts on stage for an in-depth interview and to unveil the official convention doll, wearing his creation based on a celebrity-worn design, "Hibiscus" Aymeline. No location for next year’s event was announced. Luckily, the company also pledged to cover all shipping costs for the missing dolls, provided they were shipped to the attendees’ main address.

Let’s see the two final dolls:

In her first incarnation as Anika Luxoticca, designed by Alain Trembley, Dasha became a grail doll for collectors, a much saught after item. This comeback, designed by Jessy Ayala, is again a stunning interpretation of a cyborg doll. Jessy managed to keep elements of the first one but give us a different doll. The cut looks like it was partly inspired also by this Thierry Mugler Haute Couture Winter 1999 gown. And the weird object created from pieces found in the Style Lab dolls, shown here, was her robotic heart. Fabulous.

Another beautiful Aymeline by Jason - her face reminds me a lot of the first one, the incomparable Midnight Garden Aymeline. The original dress was worn by Michelle MJ Rodriguez in the 2019 Emmy Awards and was custom made for her, so this is a very special gown. I love the original and this doll version as well. If I did not already have NAP Aymeline and also the Spring 2020 Aymeline from the 2022 online event, I might have tried getting her. And that’s the end of the first real life convention for Integrity Toys, episodic and definitely unforgettable for all involved.

Integrity Toys 2024 convention - Stilletos Out day 3: The W Club Luncheon

The first W Club luncheon in five years took place on Saturday, the last day of the convention. Attendees were told they arrived in "Egypt" for the luncheon, and discovered that "Oasis" Agnes Von Weiss was the centerpiece doll, designed by Jessy Ayala. And by the end, they were given "Mirage" Giselle Diefendorf as the giveaway doll, also designed by Jessy Ayala, which when combined with "Oasis" forms a fabulous two-doll gift set. Of course the dolls were not there, people could only see photos on the screen or as a cut out on their tables. The prototypes were displayed for people to see and photograph at the designated area. Carol Roth hosted the classic Q & A with the Integrity Toys Design Team, where many W Club member's questions were answered. Club members not attending had the chance to watch this session on video, which was great. Needless to say, the elephant in the room never got addressed.

An ancient Egyptian inspired Agnes? Yes please! The colours of the doll and outfit are a great match and the overall design is very regal - as it befits her. I am not crazy about her shoes - I’d rather have her wearing some gold sandals. I also would have preferred that her jewellery stones matched more the ones she has on her bustier, as that light blue one is kind of washed out compared to the rest. The bag is, appropriately, the Chanel Métiers d’Art Scarab clutch. The outfit looks a lot like stuff I was designing in the 90s, after I finished my fashion design and pattern making studies, as I was always inspired by the ancient Egyptian civilization.

Giselle could not not follow her big sister’s inspiration and take ancient Egyptian elements into account for her outfit, in a more youthful way of course. Contrary to Agnes though, the jewellery is not very Egyptian-like. I love the dress (which has the same décolleté embellishment as her sister’s), but the colour of the boots throws me off. Love the azure nail colour too! Would have preferred a shorter hair length, to be a little more ancient Egypt-like. Again the bag is a Chanel Métiers d'Art one, this time the Cheops bag. YSL had also made a pyramid bag.
