The 2016 Integrity Toys Convention: Supermodels part V: The Color Infusion Style Lab

One of the most eagerly anticipated collections in each Integrity Toys convention is the Style Lab Color Infusion lot. Composed of 12 fabulous dolls and 12 assorted outfits, the boys and girls of this year's Style Lab explore various 90's trends collectively called "Too Funky". It is Vaughn Sawyers' brainchild and his style shines throughout. You can see bits of many 90's trends in this collection and some of the looks are instantly recognisable. As always with the Style Lab, each doll and outfit is sold separately. Conventioneers can pick one outfit plus one doll for $80.00 + tax per combo. A total of six male figures and six female dolls make up the collection.

Monroe Jillian™ Nude Doll

Item # 85120
Pure Love (Fashion Only)

This one is a Spring/Summer 1992 Versace look, worn by Helena Christensen below in an Irving Penn photo:

I cannot say that the doll reminds me of a certain model but Nikki Taylor would be the nearest.

Item # 85108
Dree Hill™ Nude Doll
Wearing...
Item # 85122
Crazy Sexy Cool (Fashion Only)

This looks like Versace again but I cannot place it exactly. A Versus look perhaps. As for the model, Susan Holmes? Stephanie Seymour?

Item # 85109
Laka O'Rion™ Nude Doll
Wearing...
Item # 85121
Poison (Fashion Only)

This one is instantly recognisable from the Autumn/Winter 1992 Versace collection, worn by Christy and Yasmeen Ghauri, who looks a lot like the doll here. Photo by Irving Penn for Versace. The boots are perfection.

The jacket though is from another collection (Autumn/Winter 1991) and what is printed in doll scale, was embroidered in the real thing.

Below is Nadège du Bospertus on the Versace runway with the jacket, from the Conde Nast Archives.

Item # 85110
Tilda Brisby™ Nude Doll
Wearing...
Item # 85119
All That She Wants (Fashion Only )

This is Chanel. I cannot find the exact look but it could be from any year, the style is timeless. How about this Claudia Schiffer from the house's look-book in 1994?

As for the doll, she does not ring any bells - so who do you think she could be channeling?

Item # 85111
Blue Burkhart™ Nude Doll
Wearing...
Item # 85124
Give it Up (Fashion Only)

Most of you will recognize that this one is Jean Paul Gaultier, from the iconic pink corset that Madonna was wearing in many of her appearances back in the day. Even the pose is so Vogue.

The total look seems to be a combination of older and more recent styles, like the one for L' Uomo Vogue below and her MDNA corset version total styling with the shirt.

As for the doll herself, Madonna or maybe Nadja Auermann.

The monocle look is of course from the Express Yourself video...

...and the Blonde Ambition Tour from the era.

Item # 85112
Jaeme Costas™ Nude Doll
Wearing...
Item # 85123
Teen Spirit (Fashion Only)

This is the grunge homage. Perry Ellis by Marc Jacobs, circa 1992. The look, though is from 2012 and the LF Stores, a Los Angeles based clothing brand. The doll either Helena Christensen or Carla Bruni.

Item # 85113
Callum Windsor™ Nude Figure
Wearing...
Item # 85125
Whatta Man (Fashion Only)

This one would look great with shorter hair and another outfit. Which was generally the norm with guys in the 90s.

Item # 85114
Ollie Lawson™ Nude Figure
Wearing...
Item # 85130
Mr. Vain (Fashion Only)

This one could be Versace. Ollie still looks awful.

Item # 85115
Declan Wake™ Nude Figure
Wearing...
Item # 85127
Strike it Up (Fashion Only)

This is probably Gaultier. First Declan I do not like at all.

Item # 85117
Ace McFly™ Nude Figure
Wearing...
Item # 85126
Too Sexy (Fashion Only)

Definitely Versace. Love the penny loafers.

Item # 85118
Tobias Alsford™ Nude Figure
Wearing...
Item # 85128
Hypnotize (Fashion Only)

Either Westwood or Gaultier. Tobias is channelling Darius here.

Item # 85116
Preston Woods™ Nude Figure

Item # 85129
Come As You Are (Fashion Only)

No comment. Did I say I hate grunge? No? I do. with a passion.

The 2016 Integrity Toys Convention: Supermodels part IV: Nu Face and a certain Mademoiselle!

It would not have been a complete collection without any Nu Face dolls. And sure enough, there are two to fill in the spots. To complete the team, there was a sales room exclusive doll available, a lovely giftset with Mademoiselle Jolie.

Item # 91412
Kiss You in Paris

Doll Specs:
Head Sculpt: Isha / Mademoiselle Jolie
Body Type: FR2013
Skin Tone: Cream
Hair Color: Lux Blond
Eyelashes: Yes, Hand-applied
Quickswitch: No

Anyone getting tired of giftsets with underwear as the bonus outfit? I know I am. I'd much rather have her with a second outfit. As for her faux leather dress, it looks like Thierry Mugler again. or Saint Laurent? As for la Jolie, she reminds me a bit of Nadja Auermann. The doll's name is a reference to the lyric from Madonna's "Justify My Love" (I want to kiss you in Paris) so it should be her. Cannot find a dress like this worn by Madonna though.

Item # 82077

This looks like Chanel Haute Couture again, this time from Spring Summer 2013, check it out below on Rita Ora. Love the boots, they look a lot like the ones my friend Maria of Habilis Dolls is making.

As for the model? Stella Tennant? Christy? Stephanie? Conside me confused.

Limited Edition of 500 Dolls

Doll Specs:
Head Sculpt: Imogen

Skin Tone: FR White
Hair Color: Blond
Eyelashes: Yes, Hand-Applied

She looks a lot like the upgrade Imogen we got at the beginning of the year, this time in a lighter skin tone. Must say that the side glance worries me a bit, I saw one photo on line where one eye looked upwards! Gorgeous dress and make up. Again I am stumped as to which model she could be. Heidi Klum maybe?

And the outfit is Chanel Haute Couture Autumn/Winter 2015, worn on the runway by Fei Fei Sun.

The 2016 Integrity Toys Convention: Supermodels part III - The Convention Poppy Parker and IT Direct sales room exclusives

There were two sales room exclusive dolls presented along with the Integrity Toys convention collection: a Mademoiselle Jolie gift set (see the next post) and a Poppy Parker IT Direct exclusive. This last one is the second Poppy in the FR Black skin tone like Midas Touch. There was also another Poppy in the collection, as a supermodel from the 60s.

She looks amazing - the doll, the outfit, the accessories are all gorgeous. And she so reminds me of Jean Shrimpton.

Look at that bag!

Even though she is lovely, she does not click with me. Compared to the other Poppy, this one looks plain and boring, despite the rare skin tone. She could play in Masters Of Sex though.

I think the lipstick should have been either pale or red. The strong pink with the yellow throws the whole thing off. Bag and shoes are amazing.

The 2016 Integrity Toys Convention: Supermodels part II - The Convention collection

On the first official day of the convention, i.e. today, the convention collection is presented to the attendees and the sales room opens for them. One can see that the Supermodel theme is running strong, and we keep guessing which models are represented by which dolls. Some of the outfits are really iconic, at least to those who lived fashion in the late 80s and early 90s. Versace has the lion's share, with Chanel a close second. Adele, Vanessa, Vero and Eugenia also have a second dress, from an Avedon shot Versace campaign.

Pity they have boots instead of the pumps and socks shown in the original. The dresses look yummy though.

Cover Girl
Véronique Perrin® Dressed Doll
Convention Collection Exclusive
The 2016 Integrity Toys SUPERMODEL Convention
Limited Edition of 500 Dolls

Doll Specs:
Head Sculpt: Véronique Perrin 2.0
Body Type: FR2013
Skin Tone: FR White
Hair Color: Brunette with Blond Streaks/Highlights
Eyelashes: Yes, Hand-Applied
Quickswitch: No

From the blonde highlights on brunette, I'm guessing Cindy Crawford.

The dress is Chanel Haute Couture Autumn/Winter 1990, as seen in the photo below taken by Lagerfeld for the house's campaign. Linda was wearing it on the runway as well.

She even has the mole. I want that dress.

Item # 91404

Naomi of course. And that gown looks like it's Thierry Mugler from his Haute Couture Autumn /Winter 1992 collection, worn on the runway by Christy Turlington.

Item # 91405
Chameleon
Vanessa Perrin™ Dressed Doll
Convention Collection Exclusive
The 2016 Integrity Toys SUPERMODEL Convention
Limited Edition of 500 Dolls

Doll Specs:
Head Sculpt: Vanessa Perrin 1.0
Body Type: FR2013
Skin Tone: FR White
Hair Color: Blond
Eyelashes: Yes, Hand-Applied
Quickswitch: No

One of the most iconic Chanel Haute Couture gowns, from the Autumn/Winter 1990 collection as well, worn on the runway and in an equally iconic Irving Penn photoshoot for US Vogue, by Christy Turlington.

Pity they did not make the magnificent boots that went with these gowns, they are the sole reason they look extraordinary and not like another overblown couture gown. They also missed the gorgeous embroidered bows on the arms. I want the dress if only to try and complete the look.

Enough about the dress, who is Vanessa channeling? She does look like la Linda below:

But Linda never had her hair that long in this phase of her career and especially as a blonde. My guess is 50-50 between Claudia Shiffer and Nadja Auermann.

Item # 91406
Fashionista
Eugenia Perrin-Frost™ Dressed Doll
Convention Collection Exclusive
The 2016 Integrity Toys SUPERMODEL Convention
Limited Edition of 500 Dolls

Doll Specs:
Head Sculpt: Eugenia Perrin-Frost
Body Type: FR2013
Skin Tone: FR White
Hair Color: Redhead
Eyelashes: Yes, Hand-Applied
Quickswitch: No

I'm fairly sure she's supposed to be Linda Evangelista. Eugenia's sculpt is a dead ringer for Linda and that hair colour was Linda's for a couple of her reincarnations, both in short (the best) and medium length hair. I wish they were not afraid to go shorter on these dolls,

The dress is of course the iconic safety pin Versace gown that made headlines for one then unknown Liz Harley. It was worn on the runway by Helena Christensen, while a more daring version was worn by Christy Turlington, both below.

So, what do you think? Who is who? How are you liking the Supermodel theme so far? More dolls in the following posts!

The 2016 Integrity Toys Convention: Supermodels part I - Welcome Gift Set

Yes, it's this time of the year: the Integrity Toys convention is taking place in Chicago and I will be posting all news related to it and the avalanche of new dolls coming our way. Wednesday is the early arrival and registration day, so we get the chance to see the welcome gift set. It is back again, as in previous years there was only a doll and some time it was only part of an early registration event. Integrity Toys picked the new Industry series for it, and here's Tulabelle. Attendees will be getting more outfits and accessories for her during the convention to complete the gift set.

Item # 88007
You Better Werk!
Tulabelle™ / THE INDUSTRY Dressed Doll Gift Set
Official Convention Welcome Set
The 2016 Integrity Toys SUPERMODEL Convention
Limited Edition of 500 Gift Sets

Doll Specs:
Head Sculpt: Tulabelle (12")
Body Type: The Industry
Skin Tone: FR White
Hair Color: Blond
Eyelashes: Yes, Hand-Applied
Quickswitch: No

Tulabelle is a 12-inch fully articulated fashion doll with thick, luscious rooted hair and hand-applied eyelashes. A doll stand is included in the set. For adult collectors ages 15 and up.

Wonder which super model she is supposed to be. The fashion is very late 80s - early 90s in style, as are most of them from a few photos that have popped up online. What I noticed in some photos of this doll from people that got her, is that her head and body skin colour do not match, a problem that the first Industry doll had as well and was recalled/delayed because of it. She looks a lot like Hanne Erikson in miniature.
