Back in October we got news from GMCOLL Studio for a made to order doll in addition to our two promised MTO club dolls (the first one was Celebration Allegra Orsini). This was Break Every Rule Azealia Akech and it belonged to the Glam Riot Collection. A month later, we got another made to order doll from the same collection, Wild Child Asano Yoshida, which I am guessing is our second MTO doll as Studio members.

I love that we get a favourite sculpt again - Azealia made her second appearance this year, after the Capri collection. This time she’s in dark hair and the screening of her first ever release (All The Lights), so it is great for those of us who missed on that one. The outfit is gorgeous and immediately brought to mind the Chanel Autumn Winter 1991 collection and also the iconic Wild At Heart Vogue editorial shot by Peter Lindbergh. She would fit great in either of those legendary photo shoots. I love her look, both doll and outfit. Only her sunglasses look way out of scale and also do not fit the overall style. Integrity Toys did another look inspired from the Wild At Heart photo shoot for their Supermodel convention, worn by Erin Salston. Azealia gives us a more updated feel and kind of vibes as Rihanna, no? I pre-ordered her of course, it’s a no-brainer. Should I get a motorcycle for her too?

I think Asano Yoshida could very well turn out to be the hit of 2026 for GMCOLL Studio (even though we will be getting the doll next year). She is a beautiful sculpt, that reminds me a lot of Christy Turlington (the sculpted cheeks, the nose, the lips almost identical), especially in her pixie cut days and also when she had her hair in a strawberry blonde/copper shade. The outfit is short and matches Azealia’s one very well. The pleather dress reminds me the style of Rayna’s pink one from the Reckless collection. The description mentions sunglasses but they are not shown in any photo - I hope they are better than Azealia’s. The last photo without her hat was not part of the original description.
