The Chemist is fashionably late... on time for the Greek Revolution's 200th anniversary

If you are on the Superdoll mailing list, you got an email a few days ago that a new doll was arriving on the 25th of March - and here she is! Chemist is a gorgeous Venus resin doll, dressed in a fantastic outfit that, combined iwth the banner she was photographed with, reminded me of heroines of the Greek Revolution of 1821 that gave Greece its independence from the Ottoman Empire. The crazy coincedence is that she is released on the very day the Greek Revolution celebrates its 200th anniversary. Love it. Integrity Toys releases a new trans doll - and she's a Billion Dollar Baddie

As promised in W Club emails, we had a live presentation with Alain Trembley, Carol Roth and Jessy Ayala last Friday. After giving us news about the convention - it will be virtual this year too, with more participants but less dolls - and a Jem and The Holograms giftset, we got down to business: the unveiling of two new Nu Face dolls that belong to the Reckless Behavior collection, a continuation of the popular 2016 Reckless line. One is Rayna (again! surely Jesse loves this sculpt) and the much awaited Latinx new character, Alejandra Luna. She’s trans and although the first in a main line release, she’s not the first trans doll Integrity Dolls have made. In 2006, Jason Wu designed Amanda Lepore doll for them, a collection of three wigged dolls made from RealSkin resin which mimicked porcelain. Contrary to those very limited editions, Alejandra, alongside Rayna, will be available from dealers - where I hear they are mostly sold out already. The price is $160.00, same as FR dolls were last year.. Wild Feeling Rayna’s mini giftset in December was $175.00, but honestly these two are more value for money.

I was not expecting Rayna to make an appearance so soon after her last one in December, but here she is. And I definitely do not mind as she is breathtaking! While Jessy said she has Natural Wonder Rayna’s screening (another gorgeous Rayna I am the lucky owner of), she reminds me much more of Rock Me, Baby Rayna from the 2012 IFDC convention. Her outfit is amazing and very detailed. I love the eyelet detail and the layering over the mesh t-shirt. The accessories are top-notch: we have the Nu Face choker making an appearance again, as well as a repeat of the teddy-bear backpack, but in a BDSM fetish style. The shrunk leather cap with rhinestone studs is perfection, as well as the unusual gloves and N/F earrings, Hair barrettes, a ring, bracelets and booties complete the look. I was lucky enough to be confirmed for her.

First main line trans doll Alejandra Luna is a gorgeous doll that rocks a fiery outfit. Her sculpt is beautiful and modern, without suffering from the bloated head syndrome that some other new sculpts have. Jessy said she took a lot of time to fine tune and was inspired (more in essence and not exact look) by the trans Bosnian/Australian model/actress Andreja Pejic. I do not see any connection but maybe if we get a version with colours closer to Andreja’s, we might see something. Jessy also said she was made to look like a younger Eugenia Perrin. He said that the hair in the production doll might not be as long. The look is reminiscent of Zerina Akers’ work with Beyoncé. and I love it. The dress has something of Clash Control Erin, the shoes are from Alexander McQueen ad the bag looks like the Balenciaga Hourglass bag. Got confirmed for her as well, so I’m happy!

First Basic Poppy Parker doll arriving soon!

W Club members were notified by mail about the next doll in the open Basic Edition series, Poppy Parker. People were wondering, from the very first time basic open edition dolls were premiered, whether Poppy would be offered in such a way, and finally here she is. Like the previous dolls in this series, this new basic edition doll is made in open edition size, whereas when she "sells-out", more will be produced and then made available for sale in the IT shopping cart. While these will ship in waves, once the initial shipment that is currently in the IT warehouse sells out, the next run should ship later this year. Here’s the chance to get a Poppy Parker doll in a low price. Due to the popularity of the character though, Integrity will be selling this one a bit differently. For the first 24h, W Club members will be getting a special online form to fill in, that will go live Monday, March 22nd, 2021 at Noon Eastern Time. IT will then start to notify individuals in batches during that day until all doll requests are accounted for. Like the previous open Basic Edition dolls in the series, these dolls will be available to everyone on release day, members and non-members alike. People allocated a doll from IT will have until NOON ET on March 23rd, to complete their purchase for the number of dolls allocated. If they don’t complete the purchase, the doll goes again up for sale.. At around 12:30 ET on March 23rd, if any dolls remain, they will be made available for anyone to grab directly in the IT shopping cart and those who signed up early will lose the priority purchase window if their purchase isn’t complete. Weird that they are only offering one version of the most popular IT character as a basic open edition - but that could be because of the new system they are trying out to ease the strain on their servers. I loved the doll upon first sight, and was even thinking about getting her, but then realized that she looks so much like other Poppy dolls I already have. So I will not get her - at least for now. Her outfit reminds me a lot of Calendar Shot Gene Marshall.

It’s the W Club registration period! From today and until the 8th of March 2021, you can register for membership (one or many) of the W Club and join in! If you read the blog regularly, you already have a good idea of the variety of offerings and privileges that the Club confers to members. What a gorgeous Nadja! She brings to mind a reworked London Show and this will be one of the reasons she will be popular with collectors. Another will be the lovely Alaia Tati Collection inspired outfit and accessories. And a third will be the two bags she carries: miniatures versions of the Dior Book Tote Bag (done in the Tati print to match the outfit) and Jacquemus Le Chiquito bag - one of the most popular designer bags lately. Elyse is back after a hiatus that lasted all of 2020 - and as an upgrade doll, which is a first for this character, as for Nadja. The skin tone used is a first for Elyse too, she has never been released as an A-tone doll. Jessy said she is an homage to the famous supermodel Iman. She does remind me a bit of her, but her features are quite different. Previous dark skinned Elyse dolls were the second Net-A-Porter 10th Anniversary Jason Wu doll, Seduisante and Luminous, but this one has the darkest skin tone of all. The outfit has been hard to pin down regarding inspiration - many people were reminded of the Fall 2020 Oscar De La Renta collection but there is no dress there that matches Elyse’s. The accessories are beautiful - the bag is like the one Legendary Status Agnes has. I am on the fence about this one, but will probably cave in.

This Poppy, apart from being an upgrade doll, is the first to be released from this year’s Palm Springs Poppy collection. She has the same screening as the Heads Up yellow haired Poppy from the 2019 convention Style Lab. She is the second Poppy with pink hair, after Ciao! Poppy, but this one has a lighter shade of pink. Many people commented that they did not have pastel coloured hair in the sixties - which is completely wrong! You can check some examples here, here and here - or just google it! She gives me Kim Novak vibes - but in an innocent, fluffy way, in contrast with the dark, ominous style of the famous actress. Even though I am still thinking about getting her or not, I most probably will.

How do I become part of the W Club?

From now until March 8th, 2021 you can qualify for the 2021 W Club by submitting a registration form and completing your payment. You can start your registration by clicking the “Agree/Join” button at the top or bottom of this page. No registrations will be accepted after March 8th, 2021 at 5 PM Eastern time (New York time). No exceptions.

For how long is my 2021 W Club membership valid?

Memberships are valid until the latter of January 1, 2022 or when the 2022 W Club membership registration period begins.

As a member, will I be guaranteed every exclusive item from the W Club?

Every member in good standing will be guaranteed the right to purchase at least 5 exclusive dolls, which will be offered at various times throughout the Club year, including the 2 Fashion Royalty / NU. Face exclusive dolls, 2 exclusive Poppy Parker dolls, and 1 additional exclusive doll during 2021.

Members that added upgrade dolls during registration are guaranteed those upgrade doll(s), as well. There will be other limited items which will be available by lottery or first-come, first-served opportunities. Please note that membership in the W Club does not guarantee access to Integrity Toys’ non-Club exclusive dolls and accessories. None of the dolls available through the Integrity Toys’ authorized dealers can be purchased through the W Club and are not W Club exclusive items.

How many 2021 Club memberships can I purchase?

The club is not restricting the number of memberships by collector or household. However, memberships are non-transferable and cannot be shared.

I live outside of the US. May I still become a member?

Absolutely! Membership is available to residents of all countries worldwide. Please note that all news releases and information will be released in English only.

I would like the W Club information sent to me via regular mail; can the club do that?

This is an online only Club and all members must have access to a valid email address.

What forms of payment does the club accept?

All payments are processed through Integrity Toys’ online shopping cart system. They accept Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover). They also accept PayPal. If you don’t have a PayPal account or a credit card, you might want to get a prepaid credit card, as it makes it easier for you to take advantage of their many offers.

Can you tell me more about the purchasing of exclusive W Club dolls?

2021 W Club members are guaranteed the right to purchase the exclusive W Club doll(s) from 2021 only (these dolls are separate from and in addition to the 3 upgrade dolls that you can purchase at registration). The number of W Club exclusive doll(s) produced is based on the number of pre-orders paid. If you do not pre-order the W Club exclusive doll(s) by the designated cut-off date (there is usually about a week-long ordering window), you forfeit your right to purchase that Club doll through the W Club. Also, Club doll(s) from previous years are NOT available to 2021 members- Club dolls are only available during that specific membership year.

Can you explain more about the W Club coupon?

Each W Club membership that you purchase will automatically add a special $25 coupon to your IT Direct Coupon Wallet that can be used towards ANY IT Direct shopping cart purchase of $99 or more online only during the 2021 W Club year! As long as your order is above $99 before shipping and tax, you can apply your coupon towards any order of your choice! Note that only a one coupon limit per order will be allowed.

That was quick - Integrity Toys new basic dolls available Monday, February 8th

After last week’s reveal of the basic Victoire dolls and the plan of Integrity Toys to offer basic edition dolls in open edition sizes (when they "sell-out", more will be produced and then made available for sale again in the IT shopping cart), we now get two more dolls! From the Meteor line, designed by Vaughn Sawyers, we get two variations of Keeki. It looks like IT will be releasing one character from each line as a basic doll in two colour variations, and probably add more characters later on, depending on the project’s success. Looks good to me.

A beautiful basic version of Keeki - if you did not get any of her previous versions, this looks ideal. Great jewellery for a basic doll too. I have the first Keeki, so this is too close to her for me.

A blonde version of the same basic Keeki doll - the hair looks a bit disheveled here, compared to the first one. She’s lovely still. Are you getting any of these? Let me know in the comments.
