The W Club 2018 registration period is now open!

It’s that time of the year again, when W Club opens up its doors for registration. The W Club is the Official Collectors’ Club for all Integrity Toys collectible dolls, including Fashion Royalty®, NU. Face™, Poppy Parker™, East 59th™ and much more. The club year ahead will be packed with exclusive perks, new dolls, special offers, priority service and more. A brochure has been designed to introduce you to all that the W Club has to offer, but should you have questions at any time, please contact the Club Liaisons at wclub@integritytoys.com. The W Club is an online based club and requires online registration plus a valid email address to receive information and special offers.

2017 W Club members finally get to see the result of their vote from last year. The doll Is beautiful and elegant, with the right amount of fashion bling to make her a standout. The dress is simple but with an intricate detail at the front. Her accessories are perfect, even though I’d prefer the boots with closed toes. The make up has Going Public vibes (the mouth and general design) combined with Tricks Of The Trade or Spring Forward (eyeshadow) - EDIT: She has the Spectacular screening in different colours. She’s not the smash Vanessa Perrin was when she got the dark skin treatment (Second Skin) but she’s fab. I’m getting her with my membership.

I’m not crazy about this year’s upgrade Poppy. The eyes look weird (She has the Reluctant Debutante screening but with applied eyelashes), the hair is blonde (I have too many blonde Poppies), the lipstick too light pink and the dress looks like a variation of the one She’s Arrived had. She has the new high-heeled feet. I love the shoes and the bow details on her bag and bracelet. Easy pass for me.

Face upgrade doll option, marks the debut of the new 2018 collection, as designed by the talented Jessy Ayala of Integrity Toys. Rayna Ahmadi is a 12.5-inch articulated vinyl doll featuring fully rooted hair and handapplied eyelashes. Rayna wears a one-piece denim overall jumpsuit and completes her look with an oversized jewellery set, a colourful bandana, matching denim open-toed high-heels and a unique ice-cream cone shaped purse. Doll stand and certificate of authenticity included. For adult collectors ages 15 and up.

This is an amazing Rayna, one of the best ever released. Her face and make up look great, using pink in the right way. She reminds me of the IFDC Rock Me Baby Rayna but enhanced with warm vibrant pink. Her outfit looks amazing - I’m a sucker for late 70s styled jeans. It would have looked even better in a dark blue denim though. Her shoes are awesome, her bag weird and the jewellery good. She’s coming home too.

This is an online only Club and all members must have access to a valid email address.

• What forms of payment are accepted?

All payments are processed through Integrity Toys’ online shopping cart system. They accept
Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover) and PayPal. If you
don’t have a PayPal account or a credit card, you could get a prepaid credit card, as it
makes it easier for you to take advantage of the many offers.

• How about more information about the purchasing of exclusive W Club dolls?

2018 W Club members are guaranteed the right to purchase the exclusive W Club doll(s) from 2018 only (these dolls are separate from and in addition to the upgrade dolls that you can purchase at registration). The number of W Club exclusive doll(s) produced is based on the number of pre-orders paid. If you do not pre-order the Club doll(s) by the designated cut-off date (there is usually about a week-long ordering window), you forfeit your right to purchase that Club doll through the W Club. Metallic trench coats appear regularly in most fashion doll collections, regardless of era or size. This one comes over a sheer embroidered form fitting dress that makes it really stand out.

Superdoll London celebrates Christmas with another great trifecta of dolls

Just like last year, Superdoll London dazzles us once again by releasing three impressive dolls just in time for Christmas. Not only that, they added a small regalia set (crown and sceptre) to compliment the looks. Each doll represents one of three elements: earth, wind (air) and fire. If I could buy one, it would probably be Vushka, as I’m a sucker for smokey eyes and pale lips, even though her outfit is the most conservative of the three. It’s great seeing three different Sybarite sculpts in one release. The regalia set adds a nice touch to the release but better fits Vushka and her princess look. The one thing no missing from all three sets: jewellery.

Beautiful doll again and, while the outfit is very original and would love to have it, the doll looks like one from the 2016 collection, Go See! She's the lottery doll for W Club so, if not a member, it will be a bit hard to get.

Pops right at you this one! Not a fan of this animal print, so money saved here. I don't like her bob either - why can't we get an AA Poppy with a more AA hairstyle of that era, like a wild afro or an elaborate african-queen style up-do? The fur is a bit cheap looking, no?

It’s a Christmas doll that will be delivered next year, something that had some people grumbling. Poppy Parker is a 12-inches tall doll and completely articulated, with fully rooted hair and hand-applied eyelashes. She comes dressed in a slim-fit, floor length white and gold gown, complimented by long triangular chandelier earrings that match the "pyramid" pattern on her dress. Poppy also comes with open-toe heels, three bracelets, a golden clutch purse and three holiday gift boxes. For adult collectors ages 15 and up only. This doll cannot stand alone; a doll stand is included.

This is a set designed by David Buttry in collaboration with Alain Tremblay, who probably did the dress print, the boxes and the tree. I like the doll (the dress not so much), she reminds me a little of Bergdorf Poppy, if she plucked her eyebrows. I am tempted but my wallet is empty so I probably will not get her. Why are the earrings huge? Even accounting for the exaggeration of everything in the 60s, they still look too big and distracting on her. Interlocking stars made of wire would have looked much more fitting. 

You can see the inspiration for the dress in the photograph above. It is from a 1966 French fashion magazine editorial and the description is, in French,  “robe longue recouverte de losanges dorés ( Marc Doelnitz )”, which translates in long dress covered in golden triangles by Marc Doelnitz. Who was Doelnitz? A French actor, costume designer, decorator and producer, friend of Juliette Greco, who apparently dabbled in commercial clothing as well.
