The Integrity Toys 2025 Online Event: Le Cirque Cabaret - Enter The Three Rings

Le Cirque Cabaret, the 2025 Integrity Toys online event, took place on Saturday 8th of November (my name day). It consisted of a number of presentations and workshops, done through live streaming on YouTube for all W Club members to participate and enjoy. The overall feeling was good, with a tight, smoothly run event, that presented lots of dolls and souvenirs. The overall collection was quite coherent and most of the dolls were really good and fit the concept. Some are available through club lottery and are arriving in the next few weeks, others as made-to-order dolls that will arrive next spring. The first presentation was The Three Rings and we got (no surprise) three dolls.

This sculpt started life as Riot/Rory/Craig in the Jem And The Holograms line, then became Ace Mc Fly in Color Infusion and Noah Faraday in Monarch Hommes. Now he is taking up the place of the Auden sculpt to portray Cruz Clark - a surname he shares now with Cabot Clark, his brother. Good looking doll and nicely outfitted, although my preferred look for a ringmaster would be more extravagant and imposing. He’s lacking pizzazz - where are the gold trimmings and decorations? His tails also look shorter than they should be. And he needs an ascot instead of a cravat. He looks more ready for a night in with some hot chocolate instead of mastering a circus. That three point goatee is on the spot but a deal breaker for me, as it makes it impossible to dress as something other than a fantasy figure - and I do not want to erase it, damaging his nice face paint. Great hair - they give him a more mature air. Love the boots.

Ginger has become something of a staple for IT events or not? She makes an appearance here as the magician, and she’s also the debut of Pamela Thompson (yes, from Tiny Frock Shop), one of the designers in residence of Integrity Toys, who worked on this alongside David Buttry. The role suits Ginger just fine and the outfit is quite intricate but too cartoon-y for me - I’d love her to look more sinister as her face paint suggests. Lots of accessories to have fun with - a magic wand, a rabbit in a bag and playing cards alongside a couple of magic rings and handcuffs.

Jessy repeats the black sculpt/white skin formula from London Show Nadja but this time she looks a mess. Why do this on an AA sculpt and make her the clown? In an event where there is only one black doll (see next post). If she came with a white afro, she could be an albino Nadja (with the appropriate eyes) but that would have been even more problematic (having her as a clown). And as we have seen in the past, clowns can inspire high fashion if done properly. Throwing lots of ideas, even good ones, together just to see what sticks, is not the way to success. Although I’m certain collectors will scramble to get her just for the sculpt/skin tone combo. A miss.

Her hair is not saran but Q, something between saran and nylon. Probably this. Check Nadja out in this rotating video.

The Integrity Toys Online 2025 Event is "Le Cirque Cabaret" and Clairvoyante Rayna Ahmadi is the first doll!

Skipping a convention this year, after last year’s debacle, Integrity Toys had announced a day long online event (plus a one-day in-person live one for Poppy in December). So the theme for the W Club exclusive event is "Le Cirque Cabaret". The featured dolls will come from a variety of IT brands and will be available either made-to-order or as right-to-buy lottery items. It is always nice to get a taste of what is coming for an event, even more so with a doll to whet the appetite. Clairvoyante Rayna (the French spelling must be an allusion to the Cabaret part of the theme, as she is definitely a Circus inspiration) is a beautiful doll, with a great face, a lovely outfit, inspired by the opening outfit of the Fall/Winter 2024 Chloé collection by Chemena Kamali (and by a couple of other outfits of the same collection for colouring). Earlier this year there was a similar outfit on sale from JAMIEShow dolls, so it seems the particular Chloé offering has been in the minds of many a doll designer lately. I like the make up but the boho style is generally not a favourite for me, despite her “diorama” extra stuff like the tarot cards and the viewing globe.I wonder how the box design will be adjusted to the rest of the dolls, unless the booth we see is an extra and not the doll box itself (they do mention minor assembly required). Thankfully we can wait and see them before making up our mind.

I was interviewed (again) about my collection and fashion dolls for Sphera Network!

Just as my summer leave begun, I had the privilege of being interviewed by my dear friend Yiannis Tsioulis for Sphera Network (and the Popaganda Greek news website). He had asked me a while ago to do this and at last we managed to make it happen. The location was one of my favourite buildings in my home city of Thessaloniki, the Alegra Ergas mansion, one of its oldest multi-storey apartment buildings, in the first floor apartment (that can be rented for short stays, much recommended).

Sachika X Integrity Toys - the new Meteor dolls are here!

The new Meteor collection, presented on the 12th of September online for w Club members, was created exclusively by contemporary ready-to-wear designers,To-Tam and To-Nya Sachika for the SACHIKA X Integrity Toys Collaboration. One of the sisters worked with the late Vaughn Sawyers at a fashion brand way back, so they were close and admired his doll work, hoping now to honour him with this collection. They also mentioned that they loved what they did so much, they intend to make the clothes for real humans too. It is the rare occasion when a fashion designer does not use existing designs to translate to doll size in a collaboration .So who are the Sachika sisters?

To-Tam & To-Nya Sachika are the powerhouse twin designers behind SACHIKA, the fashion label known for dressing pop culture icons such as Paula Abdul, Nicki Minaj, and La Toya Jackson. With their signature mix of bold femininity, precision tailoring, and a flair for the dramatic, they’ve captivated red carpets, television screens, and fashion week runways alike.

Born in Paris to Vietnamese parents and raised in Montreal, the twins traded stability for ambition, moving to New York City with nothing but their talent, determination, and a shared vision. To-Nya, a left-handed creative force, graduated top of her class from the International Academy of Design, earning the Excellence Award for Fashion Design, and went on to complete an International Business certification at Concordia University. To-Tam, the right-handed strategist, earned a degree in Communications and Journalism from the University of Montreal. Their work has been featured in Vogue Italia, Forbes, Elle, The New York Times, and seen on E! Entertainment, Bravo, BET, VH1 and more.

Beyond fashion, the sisters are committed to sustainability, embracing ethical production methods and eco-friendly materials in their collections. The Story:

The grand re-opening of Club Meteor was just around the corner, and the ultra-plush location the girls had found for the next chapter of their adventure was such a perfect fit; saying it was a dream come true would be an understatement!

Located in one of the oldest buildings in the city, its spacious, intricately decorated main level, which featured an architectural style reminiscent of the Art Deco era, brought a certain “je ne sais quoi” to the many nightclubs, bars, and other such venues that had thrived within its walls since its construction nearly 100 years ago.

With a long history of re-invention that allowed it to remain relevant through the decades, the Starshine Hall (as it was once known) started its life as a dance hall during the roaring 20s, featured a hidden speakeasy during the prohibition, transformed into one of the most beautiful venues where all the stars gathered during the golden age of Hollywood, then went on to become one of the hottest discos of the 1970s, until it gradually morphed into a trendy underground after-hours club, up until the day it inevitably fell out of favor in the early 2000s.

Due to its advanced state of disrepair, when word came to Keeki that the Hall’s owners were ready to part with the property for a lovely price, she rushed to Zuri with the news. The Meteor team jumped at the occasion, immediately starting to make plans for what would become one of the most beautiful renovations ever seen!

Now, after months of careful planning, supervising contractors, and ensuring that everything is built to their exact specifications, the fun part was ready to begin… Planning the grand re-opening! Will it be the most talked-about red carpet affair that Keeki had in mind? One thing she and her team agree on is that for their new location to become trendy, they would need to create an ambiance and a feel of luxury that would attract as many high-profile customers as possible, and what better way to make a red carpet moment feel special than by offering luxurious gift bags to key VIPs than partnering with some of her go-to fashion designers? Keeki’s plan will surely make the launch a galaxy filled with the stars it needs to make the newly minted Starshine Hall shine to the tune of the Meteor club!

The first doll we saw on the presentation was Keeki - looking a lot like the basic one available on IT Direct. Her screening reminds me a bit of the one on Taliyah Harper from the Jason Kramer X Integrity Toys collaboration for this very same line of dolls. She does look impressive but the fabric of her outfit looks like a Ferrero Rocher confection. Very 80s vibes. She could appear as a quest star in Dynasty! I love her bag, the shape and thick weave are unusual. Her platform heels are also groovy, with their studs, even if quite casual for such a look. She also has a navel piercing that is removable. Love the necklace and bracelet - the earrings not so much.

The Story:

When she found out that the Meteor had found a new home, Amirah was just beyond thrilled! She fondly remembered how her grandparents wouldn’t stop reminiscing about all the wild nights they spent dancing to the latest disco hits back in the 1970s each time they drove in front of the now abandoned building, constantly reminding her that “those where the good old days, when the music was good, unlike all that electronic mess that you kids listen to these days”, only for her to roll her eyes and have a good laugh!

Now that it was confirmed that the team would be renovating and re-launching the Meteor at the Starshine Hall, she could barely resist telling her parents that she would not only be working on reviving what once was the best club in town, but that she and her friends would co-own the building itself! The feeling of pride that suddenly overwhelmed her was just incredible! This is the doll I like best from the collection - both for her looks and her outfit. Yes, I’m a sucker for green, so this adds a lot to the doll for me, but she is also the best looking Amirah ever. Also the dots on her eyelid remind me of the alien make up of Maya, a character from Space 1999, which was a favourite sci-fi series of my childhood. Her transparent embroidered dress looks great and the fur stole complements the look very well. Not crazy about the flowers on earrings and arm bracelet but the bag and shoes are awesome. I caved in and entered the lottery.

The Story:

With such a long history behind it and since its inception, the Starshine Hall had quite a reputation for serving the most delicious cocktails in town, and Navia knows that she had quite a bit of research to do in order to revive the venue's long standing tradition. How could her own style of “creative” bartending pay homage to such a place, while staying true to her signature? This totally fierce sister had her work cut out for her!

Could she revive some vintage favorites like “The Sidecar” or “Between the Sheets”? The more research she did, the more fun she was having with her "subject matter", and so would her regulars! How could anyone resist giving these refreshed classics a test drive? Can you feel the party “brewing” at the Meteor? Navia Phan sure can, and she’s happy to serve both looks and fabulous concoctions!

Navia always looks great with a bob and she’s no exception here. Her screening also suites her sculpt so well in this iteration. I love goth style but this is too much purple all at once for me. She could have had different eye shadow and/or lip colours, for example dark blue to match her coat, or even black. The fabric pattern of her dress, as well as the cut, looks more sci-fi than goth, which is not bad but detracts from the style. Love the bag.

The Story:

Helping Keeki plan a smashing evening that would set the tone for the future of the new Meteor was just what the beautiful Nyasha Lauder needed to get her creativity flowing, and she couldn’t wait to get going! How could she top that phenomenal extravaganza that she had worked so hard on, that fabulous Rococo evening everyone is still talking about? All she had to do was tap into her never-ending savoir-faire and vibrant imagination!

Would it be an Art Deco-themed evening paying tribute to the Starshine Hall’s origins? An over-the-top 70s revival “Disco Garage” underground party, complete with random celebs riding horses into the venue? Or would it be a glamorous "golden era of Hollywood" type of affair, complete with a never-ending string of limos blocking traffic and dropping stars after stars on the red carpet outside of the new Meteor, while not-so-innocent bystanders trying to look cool, impatiently waited in line behind the velvet rope, begging the doormen to pick them and let them have a glimpse at how the other half partied, salivating at the mere thought of all those legendary cocktails star mixologist Navia Phan had concocted for the occasion?

I love the Nyash sculpt and already have Succession. Her monochromatic make up is not helped by the absence of lip liner on those pale lips - with this skin tone, it looks unfinished. Love the elven style earrings and her headband. Her bag and matching shoes with the studs fit much better with this look than the ones on Keeki. But the fabric pattern looks like it escaped from an 80s rustic living room set. they said the phone is a new design.

The Jason Wu Poppy Parker collection had been teased at the convention - attendees were even shown photos of a prototype. Unveiled only a few days after the untimely passing of Vaughn Sawyers (and on the eve of his memorial service), the presentation felt weird, despite the anticipation such a collection brought to club members. Jason was inspired by looks from his actual Resort 2011 runway collection, which was the same one that informed the legendary Bergdorf Goodman Poppy Parker. Jason mentioned that she could fit right in this one as well. The collection dolls also sport a brand new screening. All the dolls are W Club-only "right-to-buy" lotteries and have the high pricing and very limited editions associated with Jason Wu dolls.

This Poppy looks the most different from the other dolls in the collection, almost like she’s not even Poppy. The new screening in these colours, and the way her lips are painted outside the line, makes her quite unique. Jason said that his 2011 resort collection was inspired by 60s stars on holidays, and she does give Catherine Deneuve (albeit brunette) vibes. I would have liked her shoes to be Roger Vivier Belle Vivier pumps, like the ones Deneuve wore in Belle Du Jour. The suit is detailed, with organza piping and a lovely organza blouse underneath. The accessories are minimal, as with all Jason Wu dolls. Her price is to be expected - last time we got a daytime look Poppy from Jason it was 2023 and the two Spring 2021 dolls, each retailing $175.00 two years ago. Plus this one has better accessories. I entered for her as she’s very intriguing. She also reminds me of Black As Night Kyori Sato. She will fit great with the other Poppies of my collection.

Very elegant and very 60s European in the south of France, despite the St. Barth name (should have been Cannes or St Tropez). The only thing that does not fit is the hairstyle, even though it probably hearkens back to Brigitte Bardot in her heyday. It looks mismatched to the more casual, carefree but stylish outfit. A simple ponytail with or without a fringe, or a bob, would have looked better. I would also have liked her bow to be more like the original outfit’s one, looser and longer, much like the one Bergdorf Poppy has. These two are my only gripes, but they are enough to make me not enter for her - these prices mean you must love the doll 100% to get her. Love the colour of her bag and shoes, her belt should have been the same. Jason said the polka dot pattern connects her to Anniversary Kiss. The original outfit was the opening one for the runway show.

She’s gorgeous. The smoky eye-pale lip combination is always a winner in my book and this is no exception. Add to that a hand embroidered couture Jason Wu gown and it’s perfection. Even though she would have looked so much better with a pixie cut like Michelle Williams’ (she wore the gown at the Venice Film Festival red carpet in 2010), this doll is breathtaking. Jason said that the gown has embroidered by the team that does the embroideries for his own human collections. I saw many comments assuming that meant it was done in the US because of that and the only thing I could do was laugh. All major fashion houses do their embroideries in Asia, except some couture brands that use Lesage in Paris. India is the major epicentre of luxury embroidery in the world, Lesage themselves have a major embroidery company there along with an embroidery school. Another major company is Les Ateliers 2M, for which there is a nice documentary. So these were probably made in India and shipped to China for assembly. To mimic the original’s cluster embroidery (which Jason showed us up close as he had the very same gown behind him during the presentation), they used a combination of a pearl atop a sequin. Again the bow could have been more relaxed and long like the original. I am entering for her despite her price (ouch!), she’s a gorgeous doll and wearing such a breathtaking gown. Luckily she has a beige/grey clutch instead of the black one Michelle carried. The shoes are transparent pumps, which is nice! Her earrings are amazing too, much better than the simple studs Jason usually puts on his dolls.

Jason wanted to add an extra doll to this collection (the original line up would have been three dolls), as he had an idea about making a colour variant of the Michelle Williams gown, this time in black. Jason named her Portrait in Black II to make a connection to the first Poppy ever released wearing a gown (for which there has already been a remake). The interesting thing is that the sleeves on this one have the length that the gown had originally on Michelle Williams, while the Iconic Moment one has sleeves that end just below the elbow. The shoes are also smoky transparent, to better match the dress. I do not like her hairstyle, it looks like a bad stiff wig stuck on her head. Even Carol Roth mentioned on the presentation that if someone wanted, they could wash off the styling product to make the look softer. It looks worse from the back, as it separates into two big chinks, instead of being continuous. This one has the most limited edition of all, just 300 pieces - the lottery is going to be a blood bath.
